5 Days mount Kenya climbing is a unique adventure that will enable you to climb Mount Kenya, the tallest mountain in Kenya. You will also have an opportunity to hike and trek with other hikers who come here for the same purpose of adventure. This mountain has three peaks for scenic views of landscapes. These peaks include:
- Batian Peak
- Nelion Peak
- Point Lenana
For this safari we will purposely hike to Point Lenana Peak, the highest peak which will be an awesome adventure. On the other hand you will also have a chance to visit Mount kenya wildlife conservancy for wildlife viewing and have more information about the plight for conservation of wildlife within the area.

Day 1: Transfer and visit Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy
Pick up from your hotel for a 3hr drive from Nairobi with a stopover at Nanyuki town which is the doorway to our destination, Mount Kenya. Upon arrival you will have lunch before embarking on a visit to Mount kenya Wildlife conservancy. The conservancy is a home to Kenya’s endangered wildlife species and an animal orphanage. Some of the animals hosted there include: Mountain bongo and White Zebras. Later head to the lodge in the evening, have dinner and spend the night.

Day 1: Transfer and visit Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy
Pick up from your hotel for a 3hr drive from Nairobi with a stopover at Nanyuki town which is the doorway to our destination, Mount Kenya. Upon arrival you will have lunch before embarking on a visit to Mount kenya Wildlife conservancy. The conservancy is a home to Kenya’s endangered wildlife species and an animal orphanage. Some of the animals hosted there include: Mountain bongo and White Zebras. Later head to the lodge in the evening, have dinner and spend the night.
Day 2: Old Moses camp climb
On this day, you will have breakfast before a drive to Sirimon Park for a hike on the mountain forest, bamboo, giant heather zone before reaching the high altitude moorland where the Old Moses camp is situated at 3300 meters. You will have lunch at the camp with magnificent views of the summit of Batian and Nelion Peaks. You will have dinner and stay overnight at the camp.
Day 3: Shipton Camp Hike
On this day you are to hike to Shipton camp on a 17km journey which you will embark after having breakfast. The climbing will follow a trail uphill crossing Ontulili River. Through the moorland and crossing Liki North, from the valley you will have scenic views towards main peaks; Batian, Nelion and Point Lenana peaks. Later spend the night at Shipton’s camp.
Day 4: Hike to Point Lenana
On this day, your hike will start as early as 3am in the morning for a 6km trek climbing through the rocky tracks which cut through a cliff clearing visible parts towards lower Hall turns. Arriving at point Lenana at about 6:30 am you will enjoy sunrise before descending to Mintos hut for breakfast after which proceed to Gorges Valley to Chogoria Bandas where you will spend your night.
Day 5: Transfer to Nairobi
After an early morning breakfast at Chogoria Bandas campsite, you shall meet your safari driver for a journey back to Nairobi. Arriving in Nairobi, you will have lunch before being dropped off at your hotel.
